LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The New Mexico State University Police arrested a suspect in connection with three arson incidents that happened on NMSU campus earlier this week.
58-year old Robin Appleton is being charged with three counts of arson over $500 and one count of larceny. All charges are fourth-degree felonies. The incidents occurred between Sunday, May 3, and Monday, May 4.
Campus Police investigated multiple incidents that occurred on campus where palm trees were set on fire near the Delta Zeta sorority house, between Hardman Jacobs Undergraduate Learning Center and Domenici Hall between Branson Library and Foster Hall.
Appleton was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center Wednesday, May 6.
