LAS CRUCES, N.M. — As the spring semester comes to a close, the American Marketing Association at New Mexico State University is teaming up with Aisle Twelve Coffee to host a Thursday, April 30, end-of-semester pop-up that brings together entrepreneurship, community and student engagement.

The collaboration blends coffee, clothing and marketing in an effort to showcase local businesses, student organizations and creative entrepreneurship on campus.

Each group plays a distinct role in bringing the pop-up together. Guru Clothing, a vintage brand founded by AMA president Noah Torres in April 2023, will offer merchandise for students to shop. The brand has hosted multiple pop-ups on campus over the past two years, building a presence among students.

AMA has helped promote the pop-up and connect students, while Aisle Twelve Coffee, a locally owned and women-operated business, will be on-site serving drinks and engaging with students throughout the day.

The pop-up also marks one of Torres’ final events at New Mexico State before graduating.

“This event is very special to me because it’s one of the last things I’ll be able to do at NMSU before graduating,” Torres said. “Over the past three and a half years, I’ve been fortunate enough to grow as an entrepreneur, connect with so many incredible students and build something I’m truly proud of.”

The pop-up will take place outside Guthrie Hall from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to shop Guru merchandise, support local coffee, network with others and learn more about marketing opportunities on campus.
