Grounded Lounge to throw block party for third anniversary

LAS CRUCES, N.M. –– Friday, March 28, Grounded Lounge will take over Main Street from 4-9:30 p.m. with a block party to celebrate its third anniversary.

Located in downtown Las Cruces, Grounded serves coffee, wine and pizza. Owned by the Espiritu family, it is meant to be a laid-back, welcoming space where people from all backgrounds can come together and build community.

This year’s anniversary will be the biggest celebration yet, with the theme being “Todo con Amor,” Spanish for “Everything with Love.” In an Instagram post earlier this month, the Espiritu family shared that this year’s event holds special significance after the recent passing of a beloved family member.

“[Abuelito Toto] is the reason why we are here today –– he is the joy, passion, love, hard work and the fire that we all carry with us,” they wrote.

The family invited Instagram followers to join them Friday to celebrate, honor Toto’s spirit and enjoy a night of vendors, art, music and community.
