LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Finals can be a stressful time of the year for many college students all across the globe, especially at New Mexico State University. Despite this, there are many ways to ease these challenges and give the brain a break. Here are three ways NMSU students can ease the difficulties of finals:

1. Flip-Flops & Flapjacks

On Tuesday, May 12, Taos Dining Hall is hosting a Flip-Flops & Flapjacks event for anyone who would like to attend. Students can get in if they have a meal plan and if they don’t, they have to pay just $2. Bringing a canned food is another option to get in. Music, food and prizes will be provided. Pancakes will be the highlight of the event. The event takes place from 7 to 9 p.m.

2. NMSU Volleyball Club

The NMSU Volleyball Club will meet to play from 7:45 to 10:45 p.m. on Monday, May 11, and Wednesday, May 13, at James B. Delamater Activity Center. There are no formal officers or membership requirements, so anyone can join. It is a fun, social, and active student group that meets to play volleyball in a relaxed, friendly environment. Music is also provided. This is a great way to meet new people and stay active while de-stressing.

3. University Art Museum

To relieve the stress of finals, pay the University Art Museum a visit to check out all the neat work. It provides the country’s largest collection of Mexican retablos as well as contemporary and modern photographs. Paintings, prints, graphics, book art, small-scale sculpture and metals are also included.
