The New Mexico State football team showed resilience once again in its season finale, but ultimately fell 31-24 in overtime to conclude their second year under head coach Tony Sanchez.
The New Mexico State football team (3-6, 1-5) fell to Conference USA opponent Kennesaw State University (7-2, 5-0) Nov. 8 at Aggie Memorial Stadium at NMSU’s homecoming.
NMSU fell to 3-5 on the season (1-4 in Conference USA) with a 35-16 road loss to Western Kentucky University (7-2, 5-1) Nov. 1.
Heartbreak was the story yet again for the Aggies as their second consecutive comeback attempt fails in a 24-17 overtime loss to Conference USA foe Missouri State University.
New Mexico State seeks its first road victory of the season as they take on Liberty University Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 5 p.m. MT in Lynchburg, Virginia. Fans can watch the game on CBS Sports Network.
