NMSU women’s basketball to face New Mexico Highlands in home opener

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The NM State women’s basketball team is gearing up for its highly anticipated home opener against New Mexico Highlands University Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Pan American Center. After a challenging 87-48 loss to USC in their previous game, the Aggies are eager to bounce back and showcase their skills on their home court.

This matchup will feature a doubleheader, with both the women’s and men’s basketball teams taking the floor to face off against the Cowgirls and Cowboys. The women’s team will kick things off at 5 p.m., aiming to secure a victory and build momentum as the season progresses. Following their game, the men’s team is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m., promising an action-packed evening for fans.

Historically, the Aggies have dominated their previous encounters with the Division II Highlands, boasting a 7-0 all-time record against them. The last matchup occurred during the 2022-23 season, and NM State is looking to continue that winning streak.
