Former New Mexico State University basketball player Doctor Bradley agreed to a plea deal in a case of hazing and sexual assault. Bradley, who was originally charged with 16 crimes—including criminal sexual contact—will instead plea guilty to two accounts of disorderly conduct. In exchange, he will testify against his two former teammates who are alleged to be involved in the incidents, Deshawndre Washington and Kim Aiken Jr.
Bradley and Aiken Jr. were forwards for NMSU along with Washington, a guard, for the 2022-23 season. Allegations against the trio led NMSU to cancel the remainder of its season in Feb. 2023.
The three players were accused of sexually hazing other members of the NMSU basketball team. Evidence was brought forth that Bradley had videos saved in a team group chat which showed hazing activities. Bradley previously entered a not-guilty plea.
The trial for Aiken Jr. and Washington is set for Monday, Feb. 10, 2025. Bradley will be sentenced for all charges at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
