Indelible images

Longtime New York Times photo editor Lonnie Schlein presented some of his work to students and guests Sept. 10 at the New Mexico State University Department of Art. Schlein became the Times’ metro photo editor Sept. 10, 2001, and the newspaper’s photography work the next day and beyond, chronicling the events and aftermath of 9/11, earned a Pulitzer Prize. Schlein’s photos will be exhibiting through Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Mad Hatter Gallery in Downtown Las Cruces, 221 N. Main St., Suite C.
